In the year 622 Mohammed escaped Mekka to hide in Medina.He was accompanied by his loyal follower and they rode right into a realy bad sandstorm.When the carravan came close to a oasis in the desert, the totally worn out and thirty horses took of running to get a drink.
              Mohammed called the horses back, but only five of them responded and ran back to him.Mohammed blessed his Mares Abayyah, Saglawlyah,Kuhalah, Hamdanfyah and Hadbah.He took his thumb, pressed it against the neck and small hairs started to form a wirl.
              Up to this days such little hair wirls sill are called the Thumbprint of the Prophet. Horses who have this mark on the neck are extremly royal and special.Mohammed started his Arabian Breed with these 5 Mares.Rules and religious customs came about.It is said that the most royal bloodlines of the Arabian horse lead back to the "Allah's Five  Mares.Only Arabian horses are allowed to call themselves "Pure Blood".        Source: Koran
